Omg, I found my first anime I ever watched! In veoh!!! Veoh ROCKS!! XD (squeals) It's 3am, tomorrow's school, and I can't be any happier than I am now, cause I just watched the 2nd ep of Akazukin Chacha!!! XD The first ep got busted...and I already watched the 3rd ep on Youtube...

Once upon a time, on 1998, Cartoon Network managed to air a fantastic children's anime called Akazukin Chacha, 'Red Riding Hood, Chacha' in English, at Southeast Asia, where I lived. I was about 7 years old when I watched this show, and even woke up early to watch that.

And now, 10 years later, I suddenly recalled that show, out of pure randomness. I searched the title, found out the real contents of the story, felt happy I satisfied my childhood happiness, then hunt for online videos. I managed to found one, and now I'M SO HAPPY!!!!

Akazukin Chacha is a story about a young magician's life; attending Magic School, coped up with friends, endure jealous girls who loved her friends, and mainly, just to make her master proud. She reminded so much of me when I knew Hiei....

Chacha is a very cheerful girl, who blunders a lot when it comes to magic. For example; she wants to summon clouds (kumo), but ended up summoning spiders (also kumo). She wields the magical pendant of Love, and she can transform into a Magical Princess with two other magical items her friends wield. I know, it's very childish, but I was 7 at that time!!

Riiya is Chacha's true friend. He's a very energetic guy who can transform into a werewolf without the help of a full moon. BUT...since Riiya's still a kid, he turns into a cute cub instead. XD Riiya wields the magical bracelet of Courage. He's stupid at times, but that's exactly what made him so cute. Still, when Chacha's in trouble, his strength grows rapidly. Proof on ep 3. ^--^

Shiine is a very bright magician, and is very skilled in magic. He really likes Chacha and gets jealous of Riiya often. He's very sweet and romantic, and is the only one who isn't childish enough to yell aloud like Chacha and Riiya did. Shiine wields the magical ring of Hope, and is very unlucky at times. Still, his cute voice saves it all~ Ever heard of Seta Soujiro? Yep, same voice-actress!! XP

Seravy is my favorite character!!! XDD He's so calm and adorable! He's Chacha's master, and he ALWAYS disguised himself as something stupid to help Chacha and the others when they're in trouble...but the kids can't detect it was him. -.-; For example; a grandfather turtle....a taxi driver...ect. Though, Seravy is the most powerful magician in all of the land! GO SERAVY! XD

Seravy also has this doll he has around his arm called Elizabeth. The doll can talk, and Seravy cares a great deal about Elizabeth, since it's so obvious even in the first episode. @_@; Elizabeth also joins him in disguise to help Chacha's team get out of troubles. ^^

Now, Dorothy is like most current anime girls. Pretty, charming, nice.....and completely competitive. XD She's Shiine's master(or mistress) and is very nice at times. But she's extremely jealous at Seravy, even during their childhood, and annihilate the school every time she lost to him. On several occasions, she joins Seravy to help Chacha's team when they blundered.

There are other characters as well, the Black Riding Hood, Yakko...who's in love with Seravy and is jealous at Chacha for staying with him. There's Marine, who loves Riiya, and would do anything to make him love her, even getting rid of Chacha. Then, there's this ADORABLE tiny ninja girl, Orin, who has a crush on Shiine(reminded me a lot of Hinata on Naruto ^^). Chacha's class teacher, Rascal, who's extremely scary, but very kind. ...And the villain guy who I never cared what his name was. XD

In short, this anime was like...the chibi version on Ranma 1/2! Love triangles. Cute characters. VERY FUNNY scenes. Hmm...wonder if I can extract some from this current episode I'm watching...

Chacha: Come out, bundle of flowers! (bundle of noses poofed out)
Seravy: o_o; Noses? (hana means flower AND nose )
Elizabeth: Disgusting!
((Omg, this scene is hillarious!!! Especially with Chacha hopping around, terrified of the noses steaming with nose hairs. XDD))

Shiine: You can't go to school that easily.
Riiya: I'm not asking you.
Seravy: That's fine. I approve of Riiya-kun going to school.
Elizabeth: Since he's such a dummy...

Shiine: Oh no! The Muscle Macho Giant of Mount Mochimochi!
Riiya: He's my grandpa!
((Shiine did some VERY FUNNY anime poses XD Worth watching!!))
Shiine: SHUWEEE!!!
Chacha: He's not the Muscle Giant. He's the Macho Werewolf Giant, right?
((Must watch for Shiine's awesome anime-falling! XDD I so love Shiine in this scene!))

Seravy: This is Urara School, the school Dorothy-chan and I attended.
Dorothy: Isn't it nostalgic? There, can't you see images of me back when I was still full of dreams and love? Ohohohoho~!
Riiya: Holy. She's dancing.
Elizabeth: Dorothy wrecked the school building five times just because she was mad she lost to Seravy, right?
Seravy: Six times to be correct. If we include minor ones, it'd be over five hundred times, right?

Urara: You'll be in Banana Class with Rascal-sensei. He's a very nice teacher.
Rascal: (burst through the door) Did you call, principal?! What do you want?! Tell me!
Urara: Ah! Rascal-sensei, they're joining Banana Class. Chacha-san, Shiine-chan and Riiya-san.
Rascal: Oh, how courageous of you to join my class. (cracks his whip and grabbed Shiine and Riiya with it) All right! Come! I'm a very generous teacher! HAHAHAHA!! (dragged them three away)
Chacha: (eyes wide with tears) S-Sensei...
Shiine: (whimpering) Master!
Seravy: He's a very impressive teacher, isn't he?
Dorothy: I hope the kids will be alright.
Riiya's grandpa: (eyes in tears) What a kind teacher. My kid's in good hands.

Rascal: Brats, as a part of your introduction, show some tricks.
Shiine/Chacha: Tricks?
Rascal: If it's boring, you get my whip.

Lots of the best part of the comedy are better viewed yourself, trust me. Although you might wanna skip the magical princess stuff, the comedy is just hillarious. Great anime, even when I'm 10 years older than I was supposed to.
